The #1 Worst Food For Weight Gain

I'm sure we can all agree that exercise is boring, right? Yet it is integral in order for us to stay fit and healthy  It is common knowledge that if you are healthy and in shape, you get an increase in your confidence and self-image. Many people, including myself, have gone on vigorous exercise programmes and ended up barely seeing any results. It's crushing to have put all that work in, and not see any improvement. Whilst exercise is crucial for any weight loss plan, diet is the most important and is not considered as much as it should.

The starling fact is that dieticians will often tell us which foods to eat and drink, but never the most important gut-busting ones.

The Foods We Are Most Commonly Told to Avoid:

  • Alcohol (my Achillesheel)
  • Red, fatty meats
  • Fried foods
  • Soda (including diet soda)
  • Chocolate
These are all fairly obvious. I personally couldn't give up beer and bacon, in fact I flat-out refuse to. But the amazing thing is that I don't have to at all, because dieticians nearly always 'forget to mention' what the absolute worst food for weight gain is. They come close when mentioning chocolate, but what is one of the main ingredients in chocolate? Milk.

That's right, the WORST food for weight gain is DAIRY, or more specifically the lactose sugar contained in dairy.

Good news for these ladies at least..

Why Is This?

Humans have not properly evolved to digest dairy yet. This is because our primal ancestors never digested diary after they finished weaning, so the enzymes used to break down lactose dissipate after childhood. This is why 33% of the worlds population develop an intolerance to lactose in later life. Even if you don't develop lactose intolerance, your body still struggles with lactose far more than any other sugar. So what does your body do? It stores that lactose in your body longer than it should and has trouble burning it off, rendering any exercise far less effective.

So Why Do Dieticians Never Mention This?

The answer is simple and perhaps controversial; profits. If you were told that the worst food for weight gain is dairy, you would stop buying into diet programmes that include it. You know, those diet plans that take you forever to accomplish anything. You would also stop buying into the huge dairy market as well as products such as lactaid. From a business perspective, this is all a big NO!.

So it turns out that our ancestors actually had the perfect diet plan. You would never have found an obese caveman. Taking lactose out of your diet is just one of the many "caveman" methods that will make your weight loss efforts, effortless. So you have taken lactose out of your diet? Now what?

Our Recommendation

The next step is to find an effective program to assist with your new diet. We highly recommend the Primal Burn Fat Burner System by Ken Smith. Ken originally created this system for himself due to his weight problems "destroying his life", now he has turned it into a complete (and highly renowned) weight loss program. I like to call this "the caveman program" because it applies a system that our much healthier ancestors would have followed naturally.

Primal Burn specifically targets the #1 worst food for weight gain, as well as other lesser known foods. It combines nutrition and exercise with motivation and recovery for people who are serious about getting fit and healthy. The program is based upon health and weight loss information obtained from Kens' extensive personal research. The exercise structure of the program has two sections that are designed for various fitness levels. It also includes an “absolute beginner” workout so that those who are brand new to short durationand high intensity exercise can learn gradually. The exercise portion of the Primal Burn program also includes the recovery period; which has been proven to be one of the most important things to help the body lose fat.

The Cons:
  • Very in depth. This is good for some, bad for others. It will go over a vast amount of topics which will all be worth it in the end.
  • Unfortunately it isn't a free program, but then again very few diet plans are. However it is one of the best diet systems out there.
The Pros:
  • The best part is that it doesn't require you to do or buy anything extra. All you need to do is follow the simple instructions and lessons.
  • Easy to follow. Everything is very simply explained and easy to understand. But most of all, it is easy to implement into your life.
  • No need for rigorous exercise or a ridiculously strict diet plan. The Primal Burn program focuses on little known areas (such as sleep) in order to see results.
  • The program is primarily taught through audio books/videos, so you can listen and learn whilst getting your daily chores out the way etc.
Below is a video snippet from the Primal Burn program itself. To quickly summarise, it briefly explains the concept of "programming the signals" in your body to enable you to burn off calories much easier than usual.

The intro music is admittedly very cheesy, but fortunately you won't hear it so much on the program itself.

If you would like to find out more about the Primal Burn system, there is an extremely informative and free video presentation available here.

2 Odd Foods That Kill Stomach Fat

The 2 odd foods that kill stomach fat that I'm going to talk about in this article may actually shock you... most people falsely believe these 2 odd foods are good for you and your diet.  These odd foods usually surprise people when I mention they should consider eliminating these foods from their diet. However, studies have proven that these 2 odd foods kill your stomach fat.
Everybody these days knows about the usual foods that are bad for diet (such as trans fats and high fructose corn syrup) So to save you the time reading through that again I will get straight to the point.

Read on to see the 2 odd foods that kill your stomach fat. It may shock you.
The first odd food that dieticians often falsely tell us is healthy is wheat products... This includes most breads, cereals, bagels, muffins, pasta, crackers, and so on.  And yes, I am including "whole wheat" in the category of this fattening food.
First of all, a large percentage of the population has some degree of intolerance to the gluten in wheat and some other grains. Full blown celiacs are the most sensitive to it, but what most people don't realize is that the majority of the population was never meant to eat large quantities of wheat.  The human digestive system has never adapted to large amounts of wheat in the diet.
The introduction of wheat into the human diet has only been in the last couple thousand years, and it has NEVER been in such large quantities in the human diet until the last 80-100 years.  This is a small time frame compared to the traditional diet that the human digestive system developed over several hundred thousand years eating a hunter-gatherer diet of meats, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds.
From my experience with many of my clients, when they heed my advice and eliminate wheat from their diet for 2-3 weeks to see if they start to lose weight and feel better, this almost always makes a HUGE difference.  Many times, they not only start losing body fat much faster, but they also finally get rid of headaches and indigestion that has plagued them for years.  Sometimes even skin problems go away when eliminating wheat from the diet.
The 2nd example of the worst fattening foods that shocks many people because it is thought to be "healthy" is -- fruit juice
Don't get me wrong, I'm not an anti-carb advocate per se... I actually think most fruits are VERY healthy for us. However, we were NOT meant to separate the juice from the rest of the fruit and only drink the high calorie sugary mixture and leave behind the fiber and other beneficial components of the fruit.
When you only drink the juice of fruits (apple juice and orange juice being 2 of the worst culprits in the western diet), you are not getting the appetite satisfying effect of the fiber in the fruit, and you're left craving more carbs.  Also, the fiber in whole fruit helps to slow the blood sugar response when eating whole fruit compared to fruit juice.
Bottom line... overconsuming fruit juices makes you fat.  On the other hand, eating whole fruits including all of the fiber helps you maintain a healthy balanced diet and high nutrient density (as long as the rest of your diet is whole unprocessed foods as well).
Their are many other factors that are widely unknown and that very few dieticians will ever tell you. If you would like to learn more about how to REALLY lose weight, I suggest watching this video here.

Short Duration, High intensity Exercises are Better than Long Duration Workouts

No matter what age, background or geographical location, the most important thing in a person’s life is their physical health.  Getting healthy and staying healthy includes several activities that must be done on a consistent basis.  These include eating healthy, balanced meals and regular exercise.  However, millions of people dedicate time, energy and expense to regular exercise routines but see little or no real weight loss within a reasonable time.  Many people get frustrated or discouraged and decrease or stop exercising all together.

Every human being needs some form of physical activity on a regular basis in order to stay healthy.  Eliminating physical activity can be very detrimental to the health of any individual, including children and older adults.

Exercise is also the catalyst to burning calories to lose weight. It is common knowledge that maintaining an optimal weight results in better overall health and increase in confidence and self image.  Even for people who are not overweight, having a safe and effective exercise plan will increase the chances they will continue to exercise regularly. While any form of exercise is better than none at all, there is a way to increase its effectiveness for those who are trying to lose weight.

In most cases the issue is the type of exercise which results in slow or no results.  Years of research has shown that short duration high intensity interval training (HITT) is much more effective for losing weight than exercising for longer periods of time because it burns more calories. Not only does this type of exercise burn off calories faster, research has shown it also provides improvement in cardiovascular function even in rapid workouts as short as 30 seconds. This is sometimes known as the afterburn effect.

This type of exercise combines high intensity exercise followed by a recovery phase in one workout. It is popular for its effectiveness in addition to the time it saves for people who are too busy for long workouts several times a week.  Before starting this or any other workout routine smokers, people who have never exercised and those over 40 years of age should consult a doctor.  The next step is to find a safe and effective program to assist with reaching goals.  The Primal Burn program is a comprehensive plan that will do just that.

Primal Burn combines nutrition and exercise with motivation and recovery for people who are serious about getting fit and healthy.  The program is based upon health and weight loss information obtained from extensive research in this field.   The exercise structure of the program has two sections that are designed for various fitness levels. It also includes an “absolute beginner” workout so that those who are brand new to short duration and high intensity exercise can learn gradually. The exercise portion of the Primal Burn program also includes the recovery period; which has been proven to be one of the most important things to help the body lose fat.  Details about losing weight, tips for weight loss and health and much more are all included in the Primal Burn program.

Below is a sample from the Primal Burn program. This sample discusses fat loss.

Stress and Weight Gain

Can stress cause weight gain?

Note: This information comes from my study of the Primal Burn Fat Burner Program.

As medicine advances over the decades, more and more information is made available to the public about the human body and how it functions.  In recent years cortisol has been in the public eye via the media and in medical literature. What it is and how it affects the body has been a widely discussed subject for many years by medical personnel as well non medical people who are interested in the latest issues with regard to health. Cortisol is one of many hormones in the body. It is produced by both males and females in the body’s adrenal glands.  Cortisol has several functions including increasing blood sugar and immune system suppression among other functions. However, it is cortisol's affect on the body when it is under stress that is the cause of concern for many people.

The body produces Cortisol as a natural response to stress. This includes injury or trauma to the body, emotional stress, and lack of sleep or illness. Even relatively minor situations like traffic jams or an argument with a friend or co-worker will cause the body to produce this hormone.  So why is this problem? Simply put, the process in which the body deals with stress causes an increase in heart rate, increase in fatty acids and fat creation as Cortisol is released. Additionally, visceral obesity, or fat deep within the abdominal cavity, is also increased when the body is under stress.

Unfortunately, although some people have more stress in their lives than others, no one living on this planet can completely avoid stress. Since that is the case, we are all susceptible to the affects of Cortisol on our bodies. And it is a well known fact that excessive fat can cause a myriad of health problems, including heart disease and osteoarthritis. Fat around the abdominal cavity, in addition to being unsightly, can be linked to type 2 diabetes. And since the release of this hormone is unavoidable, it is important to find a way to counterbalance the release of this hormone that is beneficial to the body in so many other ways.

It is no secret that keeping weight within normal ranges, eating healthy and keeping emotionally fit are keys to a better and longer life. While this sounds good in theory, millions of people find it too difficult to incorporate a plan into their everyday lives, in addition to dealing with the unavoidable stressors of everyday living. Combine these stressors with unexpected crises or illnesses that may arise, and it becomes extremely hard to keep a handle on weight gain. The good news is that help is available to assist individuals to get their weight loss and exercise habits under control. Primal Burn has proven to be successful for a variety of people.

Primal Burn is a program that incorporates all of these things through safe nutritional guidance that results in weight loss without starvation. The program also addresses exercise, which is vital to losing and maintaining weight, by offering safe and effective routines to supplement the nutritional plan for people at all levels of fitness. Additionally, Primal Burn includes motivation, tips and wellness information all in one affordable program.
